for those that sent in their documents/and interviewed with tripler for that pgy 1 spot....anyone hear back from them...
from my understanding they might be making their decision this week.

any updates re tripler possible position?

I called them and it went to a voicemail that said they stopped accepting applications on April 9th i still dont know if they are approved for the spots.

Thank You

I called them today (5/18/09) and they didnt have much to say. They have new secretaries answering their office line. They just take messages and hope to get a call back from them. I know this doesnt help much, but be aware that contacting Tripler personally will not get you far.

No offense, but either you're asking for the wrong people... or you're making a poor attempt at decreasing your competition. I'll admit that its entirely possible the position(s) have been filled.

You can still contact the PD and chief resident through email (available at the closed thread).

hey. well i know that the original positions that they were working on have been filled for sure.
now, they were also possibly considering further expanding and looking to open up another position, which would be off-cycle and for which you would have to give back time to tripler after completing residency by working there for a period of time. not sure what happened to those positions, not sure if they were to be prelim or categorical.

Non taken. There's only one Internal Medicine department there, and also only one number to contact.

if you go on their website and scroll to the bottom of all the info under im res, then there is a couple other numbers you can give a shot.

im not sure that they got approved for the funding for the "possible off-cycle spots" however.
