I submitted a clinical vignette abstract to my state ACP chapter for consideration of presentation. Any idea how long it takes to get a decision on these things? Do they wait until the deadlines have passed before they start reviewing and send out decisions? How does presenting at these meetings look to fellowship directors?

They usually have it listed on the website. But 2-3 weeks after the deadline probably. From what I hear (I'm an intern also), that an ACP abstract is basically better than nothing, but not a deal breaker. Good luck.

Thanks man. I've gotten some decent research done over the years but I have not really presented at a real meeting before so I am a little excited about the prospect. Just a little clinical vignette but everyone has to start somewhere.
