Registering for the MCAT: Questions

How late is too late to register for the MCAT? Are there still many openings open near the registration deadline?

I want to take the August 5th MCAT, but am unable to register until July 20th, since I am unable to cancel my July 18 exam. Is that cutting it too close, or are there usually enough openings so that I could get into that August 5th MCAT?

I think schools accept MCAT score from uptill september scores, so August 5th is not late.
