You must apply for your test with the OAT Program and receive your electronic notification prior to scheduling your testing appointment with Prometric. Tests are administered year-round at Prometric Test Centers in the United States, its territories including Guam, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and Canada.

I found that on the asco.org/prometric site....I found the ada site where I register, but it is asking me to select the 5 schools where I want to send my scores. I'm going to apply July 2011, but I want to take the OAT early...how do I take the OAT and THEN select which schools I want to send the scores to?

There are forms to fill out to send "additional score reports." However, go ahead and pick 5 schools that you might be interested in, because selecting additional schools costs $25 dollars for each school. I am not sure if you can select the 5 schools after you take the test.

yeah thats the site i went to.

does anyone know the OAT dates ? because i know you can only know the scheduled test dates after you register, and I don't want to register yet...haha.

There aren't any OAT test dates like there are for the MCAT or LSAT. As stated in that first blurb in the original post, the OAT is taken at your local prometric site. I know the one that I went to offered testing Monday-Saturday. You need to find your local site and look up their availability, and then it is pretty much up to you to schedule it when you think you will be ready to kick its butt!
Happy studying 🙂
