i registered for the USMLE today and chose the wrong eligibility period! What can I do? I need to take it about four months later than the latest date in my eligibility period.

Call the NBME on Monday and explain you made a mistake in filling out the form. I'd assume given your prompt attention to the matter, they can fix things for you.
