Reject From Past Cycle, In Need Of Advice

To make a long story short: I need to re-write my DAT. 🙁 Just wondering WHEN would be best, since I'm planning on applying for the 2010 cycle application in June... 😕

Would July be too late? (Anyone with past experience, I would appreciate your advice).

I can still submit the application in June, without the DAT results, correct?

I'd write it sooner, but I don't end final exams until the beginning of May. Hoping 2 months will give me enough study time, without delaying the application process.

I reapplied this year after not getting in last due to low DAT scores. I retook on July 31 and have been fortunate enough to get many interviews and acceptance. GL!

I took my DAT on Jun 30 and didn't submit until July 23 and I received a bunch of interviews so I don't think it is a problem, just make sure that you do well.

Thanks for the help! I just registered -- writing my DAT July 22nd. Now, time to prep, and ace it (I hope!) *fingers crossed* I'm really scared. Last time, the QR section screwed me over...I wasted so much time on the first few questions, and then I was rushing through the rest...😱 (that's literally the face I made when I saw how much time was left, and how many questions were left)


Does anyone have any advice for when to actually submit the application? Is it best to submit the application before August? Last cycle (or should I say current) I submitted VERY late, in January, and only applied to two schools. It's too bad I only discovered SDN in February... I really had no idea how the whole process worked...

Should I submit it in June, prior to receiving my DAT scores, or should I wait to have them?

Any insight would be appreciated. 🙂

Submit the first day that the application opens and submit to hell of a lot more than 2 schools. I would say to submit to at least 10 unless you absolutely destroy the DAT's

Yeah, I wanted to apply to more, but I missed most of the deadlines... This year, I'm going to apply to as many as I possibly can (without going broke).

Good luck with all your studies, and thanks again for the help! It's nice to have people on here giving some positive advice, instead of the cranky negative people I keep seeing posting replies on some of the other threads. Best wishes
