How many people actually get rejected from every school each year? Any stats?
Roughly 15k applicants for 5k seats. But some of those applicants are also applying md.
I am actually just a sophomore still. haha. That is my GPA right now and my fake MCAT score. Im just playing the "what if" game. I expect my stats to be around that when I apply though. I think you have a great chance! Good luck! 🙂My GPA is similar to yours, 3.56 and 28. I think we both have a chance this cycle, although you might have a greater chance than me if you applied earlier (I'm still sending in secondaries).
Yeah that sounds like a good average for most schools, but most people apply to many schools. That's why I wonder how many total serious applicants get rejected everywhere.I would say that for an average DO school there is 4,000-5,000 applicants and there is around 300-400 acceptances handed out for a class of 150-200 seats.

We reject about 10% of the people we interview. You have to actually work at being rejected.
I think he categorized rejected and waitlisted without being pulled off the waitlist as one in the same (i.e. not accepted).
Which would be significantly higher then the outright rejected pile.
The vast majority of applicants.
