I don't know squat about Rochester, but according to my BU interviewer, BU is MOST interested in creating a diverse class. Now I know nearly every medical school says this, but for some reason at BU, I believe it's actually true. She explained to me that they're specifically looking at people with solid stats who are well-rounded - both in life and in their volunteer and work experiences. I don't know if this holds true for EVERY interviewee, but this may explain why certain people with incredible stats (the OP, a couple of my friends) recently received rejections.
Oh, and from the mouth of my friend, who's a BU MS2, they're also "Ivy ******" - so, if you went to an Ivy undergrad, that may really help you.
Just my .02.
Happy Friday!
