I applied for the Class of 2017 but I got rejected. I am reapplying for the Class of 2018. My whole life I have been looked down upon by everyone especially family. Everyone is telling me that I cannot become a pharmacist. I don't have any friends to talk to nor do I have any support from family. I guess I am just looking for support on this thread. Has anyone been rejected for this coming year and going through many doubters like I am? It is so frustrating, I am not trying to complain but sometimes you just want at least one person that will support you in your dreams. I will achieve my dreams no matter what, I don't care how long it takes me. I am only 23 years old. I will become a successful pharmacist. I am not becoming a pharmacist to shut all the doubters up, I am doing this for myself. To everyone that didn't get accepted, keep your head up. I will support you all. I wish all the 2014 applicants best of luck. Hopefully we all get accepted to pharmacy school together.

Get over it and try again next year. If I listened to every doubter in my life, I would have been dead as a teenager.

Don't ever give up as long as being a pharmacist is your dream!!! I was in the same situation, and by applying the same basic principle of retaking classes and gaining more experiences in the field!!

I'm a huge proponent for the idea of if you want to go somewhere in life and are willing to put forth the effort and time towards it, you'll get there; it may not be today, or tomorrow, or next month, or possibly next year. But you'll get there eventually. Hang in there and go for it. Find out what might have went wrong this year and fix those problems so that you'll have a stronger application for the upcoming cycle.

I love your determination and passion for the field. Much respect 👍 remember that the people who say you can't do something or that you wont are the ones who are most afraid that you will. Did you just apply to one school?

I applied to 4 schools in Texas. Got rejected by all of them. This time around I will apply to many different schools.

Let's just start off by saying your doing it for all the right reasons. Dust yourself off and your trying again and that all that matters. It just may not have been your time to get in and maybe next year it will be.... keep pushing, its definitely an up hill battle...😎

Sorry to hear about your situation, but you're not too far away from the next application cycle. Have you identified what the weaknesses were in your application? You have time to fix those to some extent, but you need to get on it ASAP. Best of luck.

Oh, also contact the schools to see what they say your weaknesses were. Dr. Wilcox and Mr. Schwettmann are both very good at communicating for both UT and TTU, respectively. I'm sure they'd be willing to talk to you.

Don't give up, if Pharmacy is your dream then go for it. Study hard, gain experience by working in a pharmacy, take the pcat. Do well in all pre-req courses and apply to. Many schools. If you get rejected to one school, screw them! Theres a lot of schools you can apply to. You can do it. 🙂

Keep ur head up & keep applying! If this is ur dream then it's worth chasing. Ur not the first one to be rejected nor will u b the last. I always told myself to keep improving & keep doing better & finally all my hard work paid off! I finally got in this yr. So if I can do it then u can too. U got this!
