Rejecting schools?

We're nearing the deadline for a lot of Dec 2nd acceptances. Are you guys emailing the schools to let them know you're not attending or are you going to keep silent? I can't recall if there was another thread about this but I made one anyways.

Personally, I kinda want to keep quiet just until I hear my deposit at the school i'm going to attend confirms my spot.

I emailed all the schools I didn't send a deposit to. It probably won't matter at all either way, but it's courteous and only took a minute or two. You never know where you might end up for post-grad training!
