Haven’t received any of the Dec 1st phone calls I was hoping for and it seems as though they’re done from my schools. I’m a FL resident and interviewed at UF, UAB, and UNC. I applied to 9 schools total but those were the only interview offers I had. I felt as though the UF interview could’ve gone better but the other two seemed to go great to me. Apparently I was wrong somewhere along the way because I wasn’t accepted. What do I do now? Can I contact someone at the school and ask why?

Same boat as you, had 3 interviews one at UF, and didn't hear back today. I thought my other two went so well... guess I'm looking for the same advice as you.

Guys don't worry. As many people have said, not all acceptances come Dec 1st 🙂 So don't worry! It might come Monday, or Tuesday, or sometime later. Just believe in yourself, and that you tried your best. Don't focus on how "it could have gone better"- you did great I'm sure.

I’m just curious what could have went so wrong. I have stats that are above the averages for every school I applied to, I have nearly 200 shadowing hours, I have volunteer hours. I don’t know where I could’ve improved

Life goes on.

I applied to school last cycle and this cycle, had no interviews last cycle and two interviews this cycle and got waitlisted at one and what I assume to be rejected by the other considering prior trends. I have helped many people get into school but unfortunately have fallen short myself and if I dont get in this cycle I will have to look at another field of study due to parental influence. Its a dark day for me but I know that if I dont get into school (still have one post dec interview) that it is just the beginning of a new chapter to try something different.

For those that are pretty sure they are done for this year, keep your chin up. If you have the opportunity to reapply start working to make your app better. If you dont have that opportunity like me, keep in mind that getting rejected from school is not the end of the world. You can still find another career that will make you happy. Avoid the option of falling into depression and think of it as an opportunity to start fresh. Chances are you are likely still young and have plenty of time still.

As for me, I always wanted to go back to school after becoming a dentist to get an engineering degree and if I am not accepted anywhere, will likely go back to school next summer and get a head start on that.

Good luck to everyone and keep hope, there is still time.

Some schools will meet with you and discuss area’s of improvement. You would need to contact a schools admissions department around January or February and see if they do that. Like I said some do and some don’t. Hopefully your state school does.

Have you heard from the other 6 schools you have applied to yet OP?

Never received interview invites. One was DCG, they denied without interview. Haven’t heard from any of the others

You are still in the hunt then! Hang in there! Post-December Interviews are on the way! 🙂 Good luck!

Should we assume that schools have rejected us if we know that all of their interview dates have already passed and we have heard nothing from them? I was only "officially" rejected from 4 schools out of the 15 I applied to

Can't speak about UF, but UNC is a state school. UNC in particular, we're talking about like 2-3 student acceptance for out of state. That was a crap shoot to begin with, and I got interviewed there too and it was pretty much my best interview. Its just one of those things, nothing you could have done and you did everything you could.

I'd send letters of interest to schools you haven't heard back from/wait listed.

Really happy to see the change in your signature after reading your post.

If all schools have sent out interviews, then I guess those would be rejections. I didint even know schools gave out that information. Checking my old emails now, Tufts sent me an invite on the 23rd of this month, and Maryland on the 20th (during my cycle).
