Have UMDNJ and Pitt sent out rejection letters (w/o interviews) at all yet? I am being quietly hopeful that my "Received/Under Review" status for both of them means I may still get an interview, although I am primarily doubtful about it and am getting ready to start the process again regardless. But I was wondering if I should see a glimmer of hope at all. LOL.
Has anybody had success in calling and finding out if they are still under consideration, or does that just piss off the schools?
From UMDNJ's confirmation email:
DUE TO A LARGE VOLUME OF APPLICATIONS WE ARE UNABLE TO COMMUNICATE WITH EACH APPLICANT REGARDING RECEIPT OF DOCUMENTS AND THE STATUS OF YOUR APPLICATION. WHILE WE UNDERSTAND YOUR DESIRE TO HEAR FROM THE ADMISSIONS OFFICE, WE REGRET WE ARE UNABLE TO RESPOND TO TELEPHONE CALLS AND E-MAILS FROM EVERYONE WHO APPLIES.
From Pitt's confirmation email:
Please be patient, and restrain from phoning the admissions office at this time to check on your status, or to see if your check has arrived.
You can understand my fear of calling, right?
