I know it's kinda scare to know/ask about 'rejection' things..
But I noticed some of members posted their status as 'rejected' already. Just wondering.. do dental schools send out the rejection letters even before interviewing? 🙄

That they will. They won't accept you before December 1, but they can and will reject people along the way if they don't meet a specific school's cutoffs.

Yea, if you look through ADEA guide or predents.com you will see that out of approximatly 2000 applicants only 200 or so get interviews, out of those, only 100 will get accepted. So there are about 1800 getting rejected without interviews.

Of course those are just numbers I threw out there, but you get the point. Some have gpa cutoffs, some have DAT score cut offs or a number of other things that disqualifies applicants right of the bat.

Thanks for the reply. I applied three dental schools, and am offered an interview from one of them. So I was curious about others. Born to be a worrior, now I would say I have 50/50 chance...

how much weigh on an interview in admission process?

I know how to talk when I have/need to, but not a good talker...
makes me nervious already.
