So let's say you apply early on in the application cycle but don't get invited to the first interview session for a school. Does this likely mean you are rejected? Or just that they haven't reviewed your application yet, despite finishing PTCAS and sending everything in during the early stages of the application process? Does anyone know? Thanks!

While it could mean that the applicant is rejected I wouldn't assume anything until the school notifies you. Some schools have multiple interview sessions. From my understanding if an applicant does not receive an interview request for the first session, it may just mean they will receive an invitation later for the same date (if other decline the interview) or they may receive an invitation for a latter date (if the school holds more than one session/date).

(I am an applicant this cycle so I could be wrong, but that is my understanding of how the process works)

Good Luck!

It doesn't mean anything. Some schools wait until they have received all applications to send interview requests. They don't necessarily invite first applicants who applied earlier.
