Just out of curiosity, do schools tell us whether we are NOT invited for the interview?

No. It's either rejection after an interview invite if they see you're not a good fit, or immediate rejection after secondary apps. There's no telling if you're not invited for interview.

wait so if they reject you, they may not send out a rejection letter, either after the secondary or after the interview?

Some schools leave you hanging until a few weeks before classes start. But if you are holding out hope for something to happen in June when you haven't had an interview....well that's not realistic.
