People say once you're invited to an interview, consider yourself in. The statistics and adcoms say otherwise and obviously this is the situation.

So why are people typically rejected after the interview? Your qualifications have been reviewed (classes, grades, experience, etc.) prior to the invite. Are they just making sure you're not stoned with a tattoo across your face? 😕

The reason you are rejected is if you have a personality that your interviewer does not like or your grades are sub par at best. That is the bottom line on the matter

Anybody who's told you that you're as good as in if you have an interview is dead wrong. Your chances are vastly improved, yes, but particularly at a private school or nonresident public school, you're still facing 1:3 or 1:4 odds at any given school. If there's any situation where admission is close to a gimme, it's for a public school in your home state, but don't get too comfortable even with that.

Just do the work, do the time, do your best, and you'll probably find yourself in scrubs next fall 😀 Good luck!
