First off I want to congratulate all the people who got acceptances today, you guys rock!

I am extremely concerned about a lack of response from my schools. I was a late applicant 13th batch, but I have not heard one thing back from any of the schools. All of my aadsas statuses are under review. Is this indicative of anything? I know a lack of response is a bad thing in that I haven't gotten an interview, but I am wondering if I could still be considered anywhere.

I am currently finishing my senior year and hoping to bump up my GPA when the semester ends with a heavy science load. My stats as of now are oGPA 3.44, sGPA 3.21 and DAT 22AA/21TS/20PA/23RC. My current trend is 3.87 over the past 4 semesters. My ECs on my application were pretty weak, as I started them spring semester last year with 100 hours shadowing and 100 volunteering. I have since volunteered approximately 50, hours but could potentially volunteer at least another 50 over winter break. What is my shot at a single post-dec interview? I only want/need one!

BU, Tufts, OHSU, Columbia, Creighton, UoP and Colorado

I got rejected from Columbia today without having had an interview. So that should be good news for you, you're still in the running.

my stats are a little higher than yours with really strong EC and I still haven't heard anything from the schools you listed.

Columbia just sent me an email saying app may still be considered.

I also received that email, but I think your chances are obviously much better than mine. My GPA is too low and my DAT isn't high enough haha.

In terms of why I didn't apply to more schools, I wasn't aware that all my schools were very hard to get in to. I am in state at OHSU and have received an email stating I am amongst a "competitive pool" from which interviews are given, Tufts and BU don't have very high admission stats and also have a lot of chairs, thought they would be a good place to apply. Thought that Creighton would be a good place to apply, because I currently attend a catholic private institution and I know several people who have attend medical school there. I know Columbia was a big stretch.

Maybe my stats aren't quite good enough for UoP or Colorado as an OOS, but I chose my schools selectively as I decided if I were to get in this cycle, I wouldn't want to feel obligated to attend somewhere I didn't want to attend. Obviously, if I don't get in next cycle I will have in improved GPA, hopefully almost +0.1 higher, better ECs, and I will apply more broadly.
