Release Date for 2007 First Aid for Step 1

Can anyone help me out? When can I expect to see the next First Aid? My birthday is tomorrow and I might ask for 2006 depending on how long '07 takes. I know that theres probably not much difference but Im an M1 so I'd like to have the latest version to study off of during the first 2 yrs.

I'd ask for a different birthday present! Seriously, as an M1 you don't have to get first aid until maybe the middle of second year at earliest. Just concentrating and paying attention in your classes will be the best preparation you can do in first year. First aid is only for review and will not help you in your classes in really any way.

If you really have to get a book, get "Step Up to Medicine" by Agabegi. That will actually help you in your classes and will be a great way to master a lot of relevant step 1 material

I don't think 2007 comes out for awhile. I'm not sure, but I think 2006 came out in late 2005 or early 2006.

And I don't see anything wrong with getting First Aid before you start your second year classes. I bought the 2005 copy last year and annotated each section as I learned it. Saved me alot of time right before the test.

2007 won't be out till January, at least. You may want to wait because they switched formats between 2005 and 2006 making it systems based and there are a lot of errors and missing pages. Hopefully 2007 will be a little more refined. I don't see them making any major changes however.

Thanks...I heard about all the probs with the 2006 edition. I'll be waiting on the 2007 copy.
