I am curious if these activities are relevant and, if so, where I should put them on the AACOMAS application?

-I climbed/hiked the following peaks:
Longs Peak, Colorado 14,255 08/15/2006
Mt. Sneffels, Colorado 14,150 08/13/2006
Mt. Elbert, Colorado 14,433 08/09/2006
Mt. Bierstadt, Colorado 14,060 08/07/2006
Iliniza Norte, Ecuador 16,817 09/10/2005
Ruccu Pichincha, Ecuador 15,180 09/07/2005
Mt. Shasta, California 14,162 07/14/2005
Mt. Tallac, California 9,735 07/10/2005
Half Dome, California 8,842 07/02/2005

-I completed a 50K trail run in December, 2001.

-Travel: I have traveled to approximately 26 countries on 6 different
continents.

-Studied Spanish in Ecuador and Argentina...

Etc...

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Stiz

There was a section for hobbies/ECs on many secondaries as well as on the AACOMAS app - that's where I'd list such.

That's awesome. Definitely list it, under hobbies, I would think.

List it? on the AACOMAS or secondary?

I don't really see a place on AACOMAS where I could list 'hobbies' ...

There's a section for extracurriculars, volunteer work, etc...but it asks for
'organization', etc...and doesn't seem like a good place to put some of this
stuff...

Thanks for all of the help.

add it into your personal statement. i think all activities are relevant, and yours are awesome!

You can put it in your AACOMAS EC's, I'm pretty sure there was a selection for something like "Other" or something.

You can put it in your personal statement IF it fits the "message" of selling yourself and why you should go to med school.

If not there, then sometimes in the secondaries there's a place or prompt asking about hobbies or other non-academic activities you've been involved in, definitely put it there.

Thanks for all of the help.

That sounds like a pretty expensive boat trip.

Might have to go as a 'physician' someday with Raytheon Polar Services!
