what do u guys do to....
1.. get rid of laziness
2.. get rid of chronic TV watching
3.. concentrate only and only and only on STUDIES..

1. Lots of meth
2. Cancel cable, buy a 19 in tube tv from a garage sale and get rid of all the tvs larger
3. Live in a box with no significant other.

Seriously, just set some priorities. I doubt there is anything someone on the internet can tell you to give you motivation. Find what works for you

Yo "seriously" you do not know what med school is like. Also, people can definitely tell him stuff that will get him motivated. for example this...

I knew it wouldn't take long for the "you haven't even started yet" comment. But being a nontrad with life experiences far greater than most in med school, I do know that all three concerns were linked to a lack of motivation. Any real meaningful change won't come from an atta boy you can do it from an Internet forum.

Spending years training students that have similar stress levels to medical students (yes, high stress levels exist outside of the medical community), it is very easy to spot qualities among students that indicate whether they are capable of completing or not. Usually a student that is a hard worker but just can't grasp concepts well finds a way to overcome the obstacles before them. Students with no work ethic (such as the op suggests), usually is set in their way and nothing a stranger says on the internet is gonna change that. Hey, for the OP sake maybe I'm wrong.

With the insufficient details of the situation, for all we know the OP never wanted to go into medicine and was forced into it by mommy and daddy. Someone looking for true help IMO would of given a little more detail.

I am sure there are plenty of life experiences that are truly greater than going to med school. I don't think there is a doubt about that. However, how many life experiences are "like" committing to a career in medicine? I don't know if there is any.
First two years of medical school involve end less amount of hardcore studying. This type of hardcore studying is very easy to help you lose a ton of motivation. Therefore, I can easily see that this guy is lacking motivation, however, a few people telling him that its all worth it in the end can easily get him back on track.

We can agree to disagree. To the OP, see someone in your school's support services and try to remember what got you there in the first place.

Telling someone "it's all worth it in the end" is one of the worst ways I can think of to try and motivate him/her. You don't need to be in med school to see why that approach doesn't help the current situation too much. Concentrating solely on studying is a good way to burn out, so you have to try to find that balance of studying and laziness and TV watching. All of these are things well within your control, so show some self-restraint, and get your work done.

Get rid of your TV.

Seriously, I got rid of my TV when I moved for residency. My life improved tremendously. I read more, I get the important stuff done more efficiently, and when I have free time I spend it going out and being social.

thank u all...
actualy i tried alot with myself but couldnt improve..the thing is that its true i got into medical school by "mummy daddy" 's force but me too wanted to get into a prestigious profession..how ever i didnt had a least idea what medical school is like so started wondering from the start..
another thing i spotted out is that im percieving type personality who are not practical🙂()...is it posible for percieving type to convert to a judging type??? any such case or experience?? yeah if practice is solution then i'll start it from right now...

Myers-Briggs is BS, so yeah, you can be a judging type.

For the first month of med school I didn't have either TV or internet, though I did have a blackberry so I could still get email. It was frustrating, but I did so much more reading and did really well on that unit exam. Then I got internet, which these days means TV as well, and it went downhill a bit. If you have very limited self control, I would consider going the no internet route. It may seem draconian, but it works. And get the hell off SDN!

Seriously? Getting married.. Having children.. The most important life-long commitments one can make.

The most frightful moment I have ever encountered was the first night my son was born. Having been up for about 40 hours straight with my wife in labor and delivering, my son decides to sleep until about 10 pm. Then when we deceided to get some rest, guess who started fussing and crying. I'll never forget the feeling I had at that moment. All I wanted to do was sleep but now I'm responsible for the care of someone else, a little boy who was counting on me. So here I am now scared out of my mind thinking how in the hell am I gonna be able to do everything he needs when we get home and don't have help at 3am.

I already admitted that their are other life experiences far greater than attending medical school. Read my post in its entirety. What I mean to say is that attending medical school (atleast first two years) involves endless amount of studying and that property of medical school can very easily cause students to lose motivation.
