Good evening all, just have a question to field. I shadowed a DPM for 4 days (wish could do more, but this Non traditional works full time and is just about out of time off of work). Got a good rapport with him and he agreed fully to write an LOR. That wasa few weeks ago, and he had his first kid recently born, so I know he is busy.
Basically how long is a reasonable amount of time to wait for a letter from a DPM, is there any good way to remind him without sounding pushy?
Another question, I have letter ready to go from another DPM and I would love to submit the application since we are almost two months in the cycle. I am just worried if I go foreword without a letter from him is that 1. It locks me out of Temple as they want letters from 2 doctors.
2. It might come up in interview as I listed my shadowing with this DPM under my podiatric experience in the application, they might ask why did the DPM not give an LOR after shadowing?
Any thoughts, perhaps I am over worrying about this.
