Reminding evaluators to submit LORs?

So I emailed all my evaluators a few days before the 1st to remind them that they will be receiving an email with instructions on how to submit my LORs...they all replied and said they would be ready to go. It's been a week and only 2 of the 4 have submitted...is it too soon to send a reminder email?

I usually wait a week, then I shoot them another email to the tune of "just getting an update on the progress of the letter of recommendation, thanks again etc. etc." Very often they respond, "Whoops, I spaced out, I'll do it tomorrow!" or "Got your email, sent it in this morning."

Yeah I'm in the same situation. I have 2 of the 4, and I sent 3 of them reminders the day before that they should receive a letter from AADSAS with instructions on how to submit, but I think I will wait a few more days before I send another e-mail. Something unexpected may have come up, and you have to realize they probably have other recommendations to write as well, so they will get to yours evenutally. But I don't think it would be inappropriate to send another email to just check on the status.

you could gently remind them/check on the status by asking them if they received the email from aadsas. that way they will be reminded and you will get a reply and know they haven't forgotten about you!

send them a really nice thank-you card thanking them for agreeing to write you a lor

Bring them a cake. Spell out "don't forget my letter!" with the frosting. I think it will work!

When I sent my reminders, I made sure to include a "if you encounter any problems or are confused with the instructions, please let me know and i'll make sure to help take care of the situation". Takes the edge off the "don't forget!" part 🙂

I've been struggling with this as well. I have 0 of 4 letters! The frustrating thing is that 2 of my evaluators said they were finished and were going to upload it right away (they said this a week ago!). I obviously can't send an e-mail saying "WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR!" I'm not sure how to make my evaluators realize how important an early application.

I don't know what the deal is with mine... I submitted June 2nd and had all my transcripts sent out then, but none have arrived. And none of my letters are in....and my dentist who opted for the email said she still hasn't received it.

I submitted my transcripts June 1, but mine aren't in yet either...it probably has more to do with our slow schools who didn't send them out right away. I think I am going to take Moo Bear's advice and send a friendly email asking my evaluators if they received the AADSAS email and/or had any problems submitting...seems like the nicest way of bringing it back up without saying HEY send my stuff in now!

EDIT! I just checked, my transcripts were received today...hopefully yours get there in the next day or so as well!

Still waiting on those transcripts... I know for sure one will take a while! Now I called AADSAS and this is what I found out: I asked them to send my dentist another email with the instructions on how to submit an LOE. *Immediately* the lady on customer service did, I received an email telling me an email had been sent to my dentist, and my dentist...10 min later emailed me telling me she got the email . I think it was never sent to her to begin with considering neither one of us were emailed....so those of you in the same boat...request that email sent again...in case it never was!

take them a cake and say "thanks for writing my letter!" (before they've written it so it'll give them a guilt trip about not having it done yet)

Not gonna lie, there were times I would be sitting on my desk just thinking for hours at a time about this stuff haha. I hope everything works out good and most all, hope you knock out the DAT!
