I was just curious if I retake a gen chemistry class that I made a C in, will it replace the old C and count when I apply?
repeat course accepted at allopathic schools?

Unfortunately it wont be replaced. You need to report both grades the C and whatever grade you get if u retake it.
Rather, try taking an upper level chem course instead of re-taking genchem. I personally think it's better than retaking the course. It would show you can handle not only gen-chem info, but use it to build off an upper level course that requires it as a pre-req.

Don't worry about the C, you'll be taking Organic Chemistry anyway and you'll be able to show the adcoms you really can handle chemistry by doing well in these classes.
