I am currently a 4th year student pursuing an H.BSc. The thing is, I didn't do so well in some of the med school prerequisites (such as Chem)...so do you think I should repeat some of the courses right now in my final year, or spend a 5th year solely repeating courses?

Whether you retake the classes before or after graduation as a postbac, they will still be included in your undergrad GPAs. The advantage of doing it before graduation is you'd still have registration priority. If after, you could attend a less expensive school, if that is an issue, and if you have school loans, you might have to start paying them back unless you become a candidate for a second bachelors.

It depends what grade you got and the institution you attend. At my Undergrad, we couldn't retake C's (only failing grades).
