I have a quick question. COnsidering schools share their lists and know where you have accepted and so on, would it look bad to a school that is considering accepting you if they can tell that you have already switched an acceptance once this summer?

In short, I was accepted to my top 3rd choice right away. I accepted the offer, and was just recently accepted to my top 2nd choice, which I plan on accepting now. I am still kind of holding out for my top 1, so would this in any way make me look non-commital to them if they do consider me sometime this summer (their list isnt ranked so nothing is set in stone)?

thanks

In my experience I do not think it would be a problem. I would make the effort to let your number 1 school that you would go there over any school (if you haven't let them know that already). I got accepted to my number 2 school off a waitlist and then 2.5 weeks later got a call from my number 1 taking me off the list and telling me that I will have to withdraw my app from number 2. Basically they know where you have been accepted, but if they know they are your number one, it cannot hurt you at all. Even if they don't know, if the list is ranked, you can't really move anywhere on it.
