I got C in chemistry and I'm planning to take it again.
If I take it again, will both grades appear on the AADSAS transcript or just the second grade? If both grades appear, how does the Committee on Admissions know that I repeated the course? (Obviously, there are so many courses I took already, they wouldn't count which one was repeated or not) In order to be a "repeated" course, do I have to take it in the same institute? I would appreciate it if anybody can answer my questions.

You provide ALL grades on the Dental School application that you received from undergrad. They know which ones you retook because they ask you as you input grades. I retook chem too but for an F and I still got in. I also retook other classes as well. Just show an overall UPWARD trend. I don't think you have to retake classes at the same institute but I'm not positive.

Just make sure you do better if you ever retake any class. You're going to be spending money and alot of time.

If you retake schools want to see the improvement. I agree con federico aqui...

hahaha thats right Drsmiles, where you from? de onde voce e? hahaha

whew! i was worried about that also. I received a C+ in Chem 1A and a C in Chem 1B. Chemistry is obviously not my strong suit (hint hint). I am going to attempt to take O Chem this upcoming semester and hopefully I can study extra hard to show that upward trend.

Glad to know that you still got in SumflowerRae, I felt defeated when I got that second C, but now I can think positively.

I think it is also important to remember that schools look at the overall applicant. So just make sure that you do the "other stuff" too...community service, extracurricular, leadership...
