Repeating practice tests

I only have X amount of practice tests available to me (topscore and kaplan online). Now when everyone says they got so and so on the topscore compared to the actual DAT, is that the first time around or would you have taken that test/ section test before. Topscore bio is tougher than kaplan hands down....22's on kaplan are netting me 17/18's on topscore...

topscore's bio also gets much more in-depth than kaplan on some questions...especially the ecology/ classification and cellular respiration....

Take the test no more than 2x...this is from my experience...I took the DAT 3x 😱 😛 ...I know...it's sad.... 🙁

The problem with repeating the test is that you start to memorize the answers instead of understanding the questions. This is the problem I ran into the second time I took my DAT....I was getting like 21-24 on all the practice test and felt so ready for the real thing.... it totally blew up in my face!!!

I took the topscore practice tests 5 times and I did fairly well on the real DAT. It is just about practice and developing endurance. Since, never in my life did I ever had to work so FAST in every section. Topscore definitely help me pace myself. If I had unlimited amount of time though, I am sure I can answer every reading comprehension, math question perfectly. The biology section you just have to know, as well as the organic chemistry. Chemistry is very much like math, just use your brain.
