I am repeating some of my pre reqs this summer at CC.

I contacted NIU, that said they take highes of one repeated class, and average all other repeated classes.

University of Evansville - Will take two repeated classes, ans take higher grade achieved

Western Kentucky Univ - highest grade of the repeated classes. , they are on PTCAS and average all attempts.

My question is how to calculate average of my repeated classes?

Average = (n1+n2+...nx)/x

This is high school algebra my friend.

For example: If you got a C+ (2.3) the first time and an A- (3.7) the second time, they average out to a B (3.0): (2.3+3.7)/2 = 6/2 = 3.0.

You will want to target your application to schools that allow for as many grade replacements as possible, rather than a lot of averaging. You will also want to get straight A's (ie. 4.0) in your retakes. Not really worth your time an money to retake if you're not going to get an A.

I prefer to just use Excel. Then you can get things set up exactly the way you want them.

But if you have no clue how to use Excel then I'd just go with that link. 😀

^^^You just joined the forum to post a generic "lol"? lol...

And I hope that isn't a picture of you...it's the Student Doctor Network, not the Student Dating Network... 😉

Really though welcome to the forum. There's definitely a lot you can learn here. 🙂
