I have a question regarding repeats. At my school, we have a policy called academic renewals, where you're given 18 units as a freshmen to use to retake classes u got a c- or below. I had to take some classes again, and I got A's and B's. This is reflected in my cumulative GPA, as my old grades was not calculate. I was wondering if anyone else went throught the same thing, and if they did, did the old grades (the crappy ones) count in applying to dental school?
I would appreciate any input, thanks...

they ALL apply...I took one course over....you have to put down everything....I believe there is a box to check if its a repeat course....but yes they all count 🙁

well fudge, that sucks

Yep, it really does. I had to retake General Chem. 2, and when the previous grade was calculated into my science GPA, it lowered it quite a bit. It had a huge impact because I'm an English major, so I've taken only 15 or so science courses (my science GPA is calculated from only 40 credits or so); much different than compared to a science major who has taken 100 credits of science class.

you two should just get it on  🙄 😛

well, i had to retake a java programming class and a calculus class..........even though they're not really science course.........i gues i just have to get straight A's from now on. 🙂
