Hello,
This summer I came across a case where a patient was diagnosed with a hemangiopericytoma. There doesn't seem to be much literature on this. How could I find out if this case is fit for a case report? Thanks.

Ask the resident/fellow/attending and make sure to climb the ladder in the appropriate order.

I was working through a preceptorship. The physician told me the case might be reportable. Where do I go from there?

If the attending said it might be worth a case report, I would do a literature search and see if there are any recent reports. You may not be able to get it into a "better known" journal, if there is something recent. Find out what is out there and let your preceptor know what you find and they should be able to help you out.
