Hello,
I was wondering if you guys knew if all scores need to be reported to schools when you apply? or just the top score? or recent score? 😕

Also, how would they know how many time you have taken the mcat?

I want to take it a second time, and I have a sort of an MCAT phobia and feel like maybe by the tenth time I would be used to it and get a nice score.
hate standardized tests!

was this crossposted on another forum? Maybe just a similar question, if not.

scores are sent automatically to all schools that an applicant designates on the amcas primary (and pays $30 per school).

After a similar post, I logged onto the MCAT page for my test, there was a screen that said "reporting" or similar, this page related to me stating my URM/ORM (under or over represented minority/majority) and interest in medmar and the like. Nothing to do with if I wanted to send scores to a school or not.

There is not a way to designate that only some mcat scores are sent to schools, all schools that you designate see all scores. On the plus side, some schools only consider the highest score per section, and create a "synthetic" mcat score. Others consider only the most recent score, still others take an average. So whatever one's situation, there's likely a school that will view that well (for those of us multiple mcatters)

hope that helps! I just sat 2nd time for this exam, do not think I'd do this again! My sympathies to anyone who may want to or have to do so.
