I posted this in the re-applicant section but thought I might get some more responses here. One person replied to apply ASAP, but what about schools that have an MCAT cutoff. Do I apply to the ones without the cutoff and wait to apply to the others after my scores come back.

So I have tried to read some other threads to see if my question could be answered already, but I didn't find anything. I applied last year with an 18m ( dumb I know, but was just excited to apply) and am scheduled to retake the MCAT on July 30th. My question is do I go ahead and submit my primary and just put down I am planning to retake, or do I wait and submit at the end of July so that i will be verified around the time my score comes back. My main concern is that I have heard even though you have indicated you are retaking the MCAT, schools don't wait till your scores come in and reject you. any thoughts? oh and I am applying DO only.

Go ahead and apply, but apply to only one or two schools right now because you are probably going to be put on hold or rejected outright with that score. Definitely make sure that you indicate that you are going to take another test.
