This semester, I withdrew from my Genetics class because I felt overburdened by taking 3 science classes along with my cancer research lab which I go to 10 hours/week. I'm currently taking a honors level organic chemistry class which is my main concern, but am doing pretty ok. Last semester I pulled off a B in organic 1, but now I'm probably going to be in a similar situation. Prior to withdrawing genetics, I had a 3.7 GPA overall, so I'm hoping withdrawing can help my GPA improve this semester while I am able to use the time elsewhere, in my dance club, research, and sorority comm service activities.

Will medical schools be critical that I withdrew from an upper level science class one semester and then why I retook the same exact class next semester?

Sincerely,
