I just received an email from NYU to provide an academic update-- and that my application is still active is pending a final review by the Admissions Committee.. Has anyone received the same email recently??

:scared::scared::scared:
did everyone get this email?? because i didn't.......... and my application status says it's still under review.....
did you guys not do academic updates on AADSAS after the fall semester? I did, and could that be why i didn't get that email or does this mean i'm not even gonna be considered for the final review for interviews?🙁

they probably sent emails to those who hasn't graduated yet..
I didn't get the letter and I graduated last may.

I wouldn't worry. I am on the waitlist and recieved a similar email geared towards people on the waitlist. I already did an AU also.

Just do the AU if you haven't already (its not like you will be able to hide your fall semester grades from them forever), and keep them updated with new grades and scores.

Maybe to those who haven't graduated yet, but have already interviewed?
Because I didn't get an email, and I don't graduate until the spring.
Then again, I haven't heard a single peep from them since my application was complete 🙁

graduated august. interview november and got an email today saying i should update. already did my AU, don't know what else they want. might have to fax stuffs to them

Then.. did anybody who did not have interview receive this email?? regardless of whether or not they graduated..

I didn't receive anything, but at my recent interview the admission officer said that they will never go back to your aadsas application to check for academic updates. And she also mentions that the update has to be faxed to their office if an individual needed to do the aa update.
Hope it helps!

I got the email as well last Friday and replied them with au by email on Sunday night. I'm not sure if it was Dr. Mejia but someone replied me back with simple one sentence "Thank you" yesterday. Did anyone hear anything back from them yet?

Got that same e-mail response.

I talked to one of the admission ppl and he said they sent emails to people who are under review by the committee.. he told me not to worry if i haven't received the email, it just means they are not looking at my app at this moment. he also said i can send the updates if i want to but it is not required.. so i wouldn't worry too much about this "mass email"
