Unfortunately, my universities registrar is not a verified sender to send AMCAS and eTranscript so I have to use snail mail.

Should I order them now without Spring grades to have a chance at being verified by June 1st, or wait until grades are posted (around May 18th) and risk not getting verified until ~June 10th which would take me out of the first batch of applicants verified.

Is getting transcripts verified earlier, and therefore getting my whole primary app verified earlier worth not having spring grades? cGPA would only go up from 3.70-->3.73, but it would show that I've kept my upward trend of a 4.0 for the past 5 semesters. Thanks for the help!

I would recommend waiting for spring grades, especially with that upward trend. A week is not going to make any significant impact on your application.

You don't need to be, and in fact can't, be verified by June 1st. Applications don't go out to med schools until the beginning of July. You can't submit the application until June 6th this year; this means the verification process won't begin until after that day.

For those of us in the quarter system who finishes our final exam ~June 10, but won't have our grades available on transcript until late June/early July.

However, it's likely that I will be able to see my grade as soon as the exams were graded (through student portal) ~mid-June.

How do I complete this sending AMCAS transcript WITH spring grades with minimized delay? Does sending in transcripts in early July mean I won't enter the verification queue even if I submitted my AMCAS on June 1st?

Yes, they need transcripts in order to verify you. That's what verification means: they compare the entered grades you put on your application with your transcriptions to make sure there are no discrepancies. You cannot start the verification process until your transcripts are sent in.

Does this mean those in the quarter system is at a disadvantage in the verification queue? Especially those re-applicants are in the progress of post-bacc wouldn't be able to submit 3 quarters of grades if they want to submit it on June 1st?

Wondering how should one balance and minimizes delay in such situation.

I'm honestly not sure, I'm not familiar with too many schools that still utilize a quarter system. You shouldn't be that late if your grades are posted late June/early July...if you send transcripts right away, you'll probably be verified by late July/early August, which is still considered early by most people.

So I probably won’t have the most stellar grade for my last class (biochem) this spring. What do y’all think about sending in my transcript on May 1st, before the grade is finalized? Haha

They will see the grade at some point anyway. You will have that class completed by the time you apply so you will have to send them a transcript with it on there for verification.

You have time to fix up the grade. Focus on that.
