Hi everybody, need some advice, I am invited for an interview at a prelim im program at the same place I have applied for a PMR program, and its in the midwest, and I am on the east coast, and still haven't heard yet from the PMR program, is it too soon to start asking for an interview, basically I am trying to avoid making 2 trips out to the same place when I'de rather just do it all at once, any thought anyone?to pushy just yet to ask for an interview?thanks

You could call the residency coordinator and see if the program made accommodations for synchronizing prelim interview with PM&R interview, if yes, then ask about your interview. Good luck though, I made several rendundant trips.

It wouldn't be pushy if you just called the residency coordinator (PM&R) and tell him/her that you just got a prelim interview - is it possible to coordinate something so u can just make one trip.

if it is the SAME program they should be able to accomodate. Many prelim programs will just use your PM&R interviews too - like Baylor, Mayo, etc. so you can ask about that.

id call em up and tell them that if they are willing to interview you, this is their shot.

thanks everybody for your input, but should I consider bypassing the residency coordinator and talk to or email the program director directly, since I doubt the residency coordinator has the sole ability to hand out interviews, or am I mistaken?😕

I just thought it may be less presumptuous to play dumb and ask the coordinator and have him/her ask the PD than for you to directly ask...

I guess I'm a bit passive aggressive😛

im in an uppity mood i guess
honestly, at this point i cant schedule interviews
ok seriously what do i do? I have interview invites for dates that i have other interviews or will be on the road... and its not like i have a good idea of which programs i can say "no" to before the interview...
any passive agressive non-presumptous suggestions?

Yeah, I still say the coordinator is your safest bet. All questions and/or requests with them are fair game just don't cop an attitude and you might be surprised how much they try to help.
