I agree with the comments of Dr. Cuts. Residency programs process applications at different speeds. Let's say you applied to five residency programs in Los Angeles and you go to med school in New York. You have three interview invites but you haven't heard from the other two. Obviously, it's better to interview at these places during one trip so that you can save money, etc. The fact that you haven't heard from them doesn't mean that they are not interested. It may simply mean they haven't gotten around to your application or haven't sent you the invite yet. There is nothing wrong with calling (or email) them up, saying that you are coming to the city for other interviews, and were wondering if you could interview at their program during that time. Most programs will be happy to accomodate you, assuming of course you meet their criteria for a competitive candidate.
