When I was in college and high school I passed and AP exam and 3 clep tests. The scores for these exams are listed on my transcripts. However, I have already had one school request that I specifically have my AP and clep scores sent directly to their school and not pharmcas. The bad thing about it is that it costs 20 dollars a piece to send these scores. I didn't mind sending it to that one school because I thought it was an anomoly. But now another school is requesting that I send them my AP scores....The thoughts going through my head right now are : 1) Am I supposed to automatically know that I should send my AP scores directly to all the schools I applied to or will they request my scores on a case to case basis. 2) Does not having these scores affect my application in any way. 3) Should I just go ahead and send all the schools my scores anyway even if they haven't requested me to do so.

If anyone else is or has been in this situation can they please help me figure it out.

1) I sent my AP scores without being asked on a case-by-case basis, but I did not send them to every school to which I applied. I sent them to the schools that had certain requirements that would be fulfilled by my AP scores. I do not know your situation and whether or not you fulfilled those requirements with college coursework outside of AP exams, so I am not sure if you need to send them to every school. Overall, I just sent them to the ones that I knew "needed" it in order to complete my application/prereqs.

2) I don't know if they'll favor or disfavor you in any way because of AP scores, but if it has to do with fulfilling prereqs, it will definitely affect your admission status. Some schools might just be requesting it because they want to see all transcripts possible?

3) I would suggest you to try asking each school or checking their websites to see exactly what they require. Honestly, it's better safe than sorry -- you could try sending each school your AP scores anyway -- but it's pretty costly to do so, so I suggest asking 🙂
