Hi everyone,

This may be a dumb question to ask but how should I go about asking a letter of recommendation from a professor I had over a year ago. Is it preferred to meet her in person before getting in contact with her? And if I'm not able to meet in person, what should I email her saying? Unfortunately I don't think she would even remember me just from an email. Any advice you guys can give me would be really helpful, thank you!

Definitely meet in person. Id say schedule a brief appointment saying you would like to talk to them. Tell them if they would feel comfortable writing you a letter of rec. that's how I've gone about it-always comes out positive!
