Requesting Transcripts from Schools

I went online to see if AACOMAS has a transcript request form like AMCAS and it didn't look like it. Do you just call your schools to have them sent there? How do they match up transcripts? AMCAS says you have to send the request for with your transcript or they often don't get matched. Does AACOMAS not have a similar problem?

Hi. i was wondering the same thing. I found on AACOMAS website the address they want them sent to. So actually what I did is copied the AMCAS transcript request form and pasted it into a Word document. Then deleted/changed things (ie. AMCAS to AACOMAS), added the address for AACOMAS and used that. It just made it easier than typing out a letter to fax with my requests. However, i had a lot of schools to get transcripts from so it might be easier to just call them up and give them the AACOMAS address. Hope this helps. 🙂

irishlayda has the right idea. This is what I did last year...you just have to make sure to remove all references to AMCAS and your AMCAS ID number.

Most schools will not let you just call up and request....I don't think ANY school will let you, I'm pretty sure they legally need your signature.

my university has a form on their registrar's website that you can print off and request one from there-then you sign it and send in the $$. i would check the registrar's website. usually most universities have this option and it's really easy.
