Do you have to finish all of your required classes before you apply or can you just say that you are going to take it before you start?
 
Most schools will offer conditional admission, i.e if you complete..
Am I correct folks?
 
Yeah, you can get a conditional admissions acceptance, but only if you finish the prereqs, and pass them. Just get at least a C in each class and you're ok.
 
I have read that some schools expect you to uphold the same grades which gained you acceptance.
 
That is true, I wouldn't recommend getting a C in any class. Keep up the habit of good grades. Letting it slip just before going to dental school could hurt you.
 
What happens if you are at GPA=4.0,
things can only get worse, right?

Yup. IUSD, for example, cautions in its provisional acceptance letters that "you will be expected to maintain an academic performance consistent with your application." You can't let things fall completely to the dogs just because you got a letter in the mail 😉
