Rescheduling an interview?

Would it hurt your chances if you decide to reschedule a post-December interview to two-three weeks later?

I doubt it! I rescheduled one of mine in December too...If anything, it'll just take longer for you to hear back since your interview is later!

Actually, it will. Admissions after Dec 1st is purely rolling because schools aren't required to wait until a certain date to notify applicants of their status. Someone can interview the first week of December and hear back within a few days (therefore another spot in the class has been taken). If you interview later, there will be less spots available and competition will increase.

If its not your top school then it might not matter if you reschedule it, if it is then you might not want to reschedule. Ultimately, its up to you.

I rescheduled mine from Dec to Jan. It doesn't hurt to ask school about this question. At least I did. I was told it was not an issue for my school.
