Rescheduling, Cancelling, and No Show

Take it. It's your first attempt, you have nothing to lose. If you don't take it, you have $400 to lose.

A lot of people don't feel ready before test day but they take it and end up doing better than they expected.

It's no big deal. If you want a test run at it just take it. Taking it twice won't hurt you, but yeah more than 3 times maybe.

I actually intentionally skipped a test too back in Oct because I didn't feel ready and just forfeited the fees. I had already taken it once, but I just got really nervous the day before so I didn't go. If you're Canadian (I am too), yeah the fees are hard to swallow especially with our crappy dollar but whatever, in the long run it's just a tiny blip of what you'll have to pay in tuition.

Are you applying this cycle/ have you already applied?

Troof!

I drove to my test center with dread...I was only comforted by the idea that I could take it again. I ended up doing well enough to not have to retake, even though on the day of (and the preceding week or so) I was completely sure that I'd do horrible and I'd have to take it again. I honestly would have rescheduled if I figured I would be penalized (at least from an admissions perspective) for taking it more than once.

Anxiety is a killer. Of things and whatnot.

It happened to me too, I was going to take it during the summer but something personal came up and I couldn't study. I didn't take it and paid again. Now, I have to apply for Fall 2017 because I didn't take the OAT on time and I don't feel ready.
