I was wondering if it looks unprofessional to reschedule an interview a day before b/c of having the flu(coughing, running nose, fever). The school has many more interview spots, but I feel its unprofessional to arrive at an interview sick and expose the admissions committee to the virus. Does it give a bad impression about you as an applicant.

Thanks

That's a really tough situation.

Personally, I would call them immediately, inform them that you are quite ill with the flu, and state that you still want to come in for the interview as planned. Let them decide if they would prefer for you to reschedule (for their benefit). If they choose not to reschedule you, at least when you show up (sick) you'll be able to relax knowing they are aware of your condition and not going to hold a sniffling, runny nose against you.

If they do reschedule, you're also in good shape as you know it was their idea...

Get some good sleep and suck it up. If you're not puking, you're good. Dedication.
