I think you'll be fine. Stats isn't normally a required course for any medical school (though it is recommended for some). I believe only required courses are the ones that you need higher than a C- in, the rest only matter in that they affect your gpa negatively, but with it only being a 1 credit class, I think your gpa will be just fine.

Nope. Just make sure to find the conditions of your acceptance when you call them. If they are okay with the D, then it should be no problem, no need to retake.
