Has anyone ever tried a rescore and had it work out for them? I'm almost speechless after seeing my score. It's almost 30 points lower than my last practice test. It's really a sincere question and I could really use some advice. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

just came across this thread, so i gave my step1 on july 7th. As soon as i started second block building next to prometric center was doing some drill work for good freakin 1 hour. I told prometric lady that WTF, i am trying to concentrate and what WTF is going on, and she goes "uhmmm uhmmm not sure, but its sure annoying isn't it?" I wrote a big note at the end of my exam to nbme, do you guys they will ever read that note??

Well I got a 205, so I'm not too worried about needing a rescore. However, if I did need one, I probably could get it since my dad works for the NBME and makes those decisions. I guess you could say I'm well-connected.

Similar thing happened to me. They decided to run the lawnmower right outside the window where my computer was positioned. Deafening sounds for at least 15 min and loudish sounds for 30min.

I didn't care too much though because I had previously practiced doing qbank under distracting conditions.

Realistically, you can expect somebody to read your note but chances are zero that they will do anything for you.

I had insanely loud lawn maintenance for about 15 minutes too. This was during my last block when my mental acuity was at its peak.🙄 Fun times!

I just read through most of this read but what "script error" is everybody talking about? How did they know this was an error (i.e. what showed up on the computer screen)? Thanks in advance 🙂
