Step I Rescuing anatomy/embryology???

My anatomy and embryology is horrible, both on Q-bank and on the NBME shelf exams. Does anyone have advice on what to do? I used BRS Chung which I thought was pretty bad. I am now going to read HY Embryology and Antatomy and then do the Kaplan anatomy coloring book. Does anyone have advice on how they were able to improve their anatomy scores???

I am using High Yield Anatomy and HY Embryology. I also plan to get the HY cell Bio and maybe the Histo. Anywhoo, I go through the embryology with the anatomy and then also track my way through Kaplan's lectures - when I can stand them. I don't use the Kaplan books for embryo because I have found that their text is almost word for word from HY. 😕

I used to think the HY books were dense and boring but now with the exam staring me in the face I am suddenly finding them to be pretty decent and good, cut to the chase kind of stuff. So far, they are doing the job for me and I am just trying to basically memorize them.
