So I am looking into applying to both Ross and AUC. I haven't heard much regarding how research at either institution works (if any opportunities are even offered), and was looking to hearing from any current or former students to fill me in. For instance, I know that research is something you have to apply for at SGU, and I was wondering if it works that way at Ross and/or AUC as well.

There is no research at Ross, if you find it you can do it yourself or apply for a research elective rotation 4th year but again this is all stuff you're doing yourself. If you're planning on trying to get into a specialty that requires research then you shouldn't go to the Caribbean in the first place though...

None whatsoever. Some professors who teach only for a month may let you on a case report but thats about it. At clinicals you get a lot oppurtunities to do case reports espically if you are at a large hospital like Jackson or Broward Health.
