those of you involved/in the know about research occurring at your school, what are the topics being investigated?

Most researchers are a bit private about their projects until they're published. They don't want anyone "beating them to the punch." Most student research won't get published in major journals, but it usually becomes a poster or minor journal/newsletter/magazine article... so it's still a lot of hard work and a matter of pride for the authors.

A lot of student research you'll see consists of Level 5s... case reports, lit reviews, or basic studies (cadaver lab, gait analysis, sawbones, etc). Your experience in your pod school's clinic experience is only during scattered parts of the 3rd year, so it's almost always too hard for students to do any higher level clinical trial or cohort.
