Research Fellowships?

Hi, I am a rising third year applying for research fellowships for my year off between MS3 and MS4. I was thinking about applying to the NIH MRSP program and HHMI, but does anyone know of any good paid research fellowships that are available to medical students interested in plastics?

Hi! Unfortunately I don't, but my advice is to identify the programs you are interested in applying to and send an email to the PIs. They might have an open spot doing clinical or basic science research. Your best bet are the larger PRS centers like Harvard, UPMC, Michigan, Hopkins, etc. Good luck

Thank you! So you think if I do research at UPMC for example that it will help my chances of matching there?

Yes! The better you get to know the PD, chair, attendings and residents, the greater are your chances of matching there. UPMC is one of the top programs so it would look great on your CV regardless ; )
